George M. White, M.D.
Dr. George White, a Maryland native, received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Johns Hopkins University. He completed 2 years of general surgery and an additional 3 years of orthopaedic residency at Hopkins. He then went on to the Curtis National Hand Center at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, where he completed a fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery.
Board Certification:
Dr. George White is board certified in Orthopaedics with an added certification in Surgery of the Hand.
Awards/Honors:
Dr. George White was named as a Best Doctor by U.S. News & World Report. He has been named as one of America’s Top Doctors by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., as well as a Top Doctor by Consumers’ Checkbook. Dr. George White was also named one of the top 10 shoulder surgeons in the U.S. by Becker’s ASC Review, and named a Lifetime Member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. Most recently Dr. White was named America’s Most Honored Doctors in 2020 by The American Registry. Our practice is routinely listed as one of the top hand surgery practices in the Southeast by insurance panels and physician review groups.
