Rogerio Ferreira Jr., MD

Dr. Ferreira is a fellowship trained sports medicine orthopaedic surgeon who was born in Recife, Brazil, and raised in Orlando, FL. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Central Florida and went on to attend medical school at Florida State University.

He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Orlando Health. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in sports medicine at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA. During his time there, he served as an assistant team physician for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Riverhounds, as well as the USA Rugby team.

His clinical interests include arthroscopic and open surgery of the shoulder, including shoulder instability, rotator cuff repair, and shoulder replacement. He also performs arthroscopic and open surgery of the knee, including ligament reconstruction, meniscus repair, cartilage restoration, and total knee replacement. In addition, he provides surgical treatment of fractures throughout the upper and lower extremities.

In his free time, Dr. Ferreira enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.

Dr. Ferreira is fluent in English and Portuguese. He is committed to delivering compassionate, personalized orthopaedic care to patients of all backgrounds and activity levels.
